A Twist to Not Me Monday!

Welcome to Not Me Monday!!! And if you make it all the way to the bottom of the post, there will NOT be a surprise waiting there for you!

This was started by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

Max has not been a snotty mess this week causing me to NOT use my sleeve to wipe his nose in times of desperation. And at the very least, I would never use his own sleeve!

Alexis has NOT given up her naptime and I'm NOT crying about it :(

Since it's October and it's pumpkin season, we did not decide to go to the Pumpkin Patch on the coldest, rainy (more like a drizzle) day so far of the season! And I would always be prepared for such weather so while there I definitely did not forget jackets for either child and they were not merely wearing sweatshirts.

And after the trip, I did not spend about 2 hours editing my pictures just so I could get them posted on Facebook for all to enjoy!I also did NOT spend hours updating my store so that shoppers could have an adequate Fall selection instead of the bright summer bows that continued to remain online! And if you are a blogreader and you've made it all the way down here, then you will certainly NOT get a coupon code to get a free hairbow with the purchase of a bow at my store. That's right.......for every bow you buy you'll get a free one! So feel free to buy 6 and get 6 free! Just do NOT go to AffordaBOW by clicking here or typing in www.affordabow.com to your browser. Or you can click the picture in the upper left hand corner of the blog. And in the shopping cart, do NOT whatever you do, type the coupon code BLOG in to receive your special offer. Happy "not" shopping!!!!

Not Me Monday

Welcome to Not Me Monday!!! This was started by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

I did not videotape Alexis throwing an all out fit just for future viewing pleasure!!!! (You'll have to tune back in maybe tomorrow to see the video!)

I did not let my children eat apples straight off the tree while we were apple picking! I mean surely they were NOT filthy and surely that is not against the rules!!! (I did wipe them off with a wipe, does that count?)I did not eat a fried chocolate pie at the same Apple Orchard because I would never consume that many calories at one time (but anything with fried and chocolate in the same title must be deeeelish!). And even if I did eat it, I definitely would not have made it my lunch!

I do not laugh at Alexis during her 'roid rages that she has while on her asthma medication (we had to start her whole regime again because comes October she is a wheeze machine, but the medication combinations make her 'roid out and it's kinda funny. But I guess if I didn't laugh, I would cry or go insane). Oh, and she definitely isn't screaming with her nebulizer mask on her face as we speak. Ahhhh, I love winter.....NOT!

I did not drive down the street this afternoon and see the creek about to overflow again like it did a couple weeks ago and I did not secretly hope that it would overflow again just to get school cancelled for another day and have Ben home with us!

Not Me AGAIN :)

Welcome to Not Me Monday!!! This was started by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

To start with, I'm definitely not spending time on my blog when I should be showering, cleaning up, and making lunches.

I have certainly not been allowing Alexis to eat Popsicles all the time for snack just so they'll be gone and she can't ask for them anymore.

I do not allow Alexis to watch uneducating TV shows made for adults such as So You Think You Can Dance and do NOT allow her to dress up and imitate all the dance moves. She's such a natural!I did not almost cry when my mom relayed this story about Alexis. Alexis was spending the night at her house (in her bed, of course!) and was watching my mom write in her notebook that she writes in. Alexis asked what she was doing and my mom replied, "writing to Opa so he can know what we do every day". Alexis says "I want to write to him too, but I don't know how so I'll draw a picture and you can write what I say". Okay, says my mom. Alexis draws a picture and dictates: "Dear Opa. I miss you, but I can't come to God to see you. So I love you and I miss you." Wow!!!! Oh and by the way, who am I kidding? Almost not cry? How about DEFINITELY not cry.

I do not think that my kids are two of the cutest kids that have ever walked this earth.

Not Me Monday!!!

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

Yesterday, I did not allow Max to keep doing this.......
......purely because he was highly entertained by it and not asking to be picked up!!! And then I did not proceed to continue to allow him to do it more because I wanted to take some pictures of him!!!!!Just some other added bonuses this week:
-I did not cry when Max got his first haircut (see post below for the WHOLE story)
-I did not let Alexis eat cupcakes for snack one rainy day (see post below!)
-I did not wear the same thing two days in a row simply because we were going two different places and seeing all different people
-I did not pick Alexis up from preschool late because it was raining so hard that I did not want to leave where I was and take Max out in the horrendous rain!

See ya next week, Not Me Monday!!!!!!

Not Me Monday!

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

This week I did not let Alexis fall asleep on the floor of my office because we stopped by there for a little while to do some paperwork on Thursday. She was completely fine when we arrived, but while we were there for an hour, she suddenly developed a 103 fever and crashed out on the floor. And I definitely didn't take a picture of it either. I also did not allow her to watch TV all day for two days while she was sick. Surely, I could have thought of something else for her to do.

Max does not have a black eye again because of walking around our bedroom and falling eye first into the corner edge of the bed. I totally should not put some sort of foam on the corners.

I do not put the kids in the car in the mornings when we leave the house and then go back in and do last minute clean up in case someone comes to view our house. If they were still inside, it would be one step forward, two steps back in the cleaning process. Don't worry.....the windows are down and the music is on for them!!!!!

I did not let Max eat a quarter of a cupcake yesterday for sure. I mean Alexis didn't get cupcakes, cookies, etc. until she was at least 2 so of course I wouldn't let my second child have that horrendous food until 2 either.

Not Me Again!

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week. This was a very eventful week this week so there are a few things that I didn't do.

I did not allow Maxwell to rip up a magazine in the vet's office that belonged to the vet's office because they left us in the exam room for 1 1/2 hours with NOTHING TO DO. I mean, people, the vet's office is not like a pediatrician's office with a gazillion toys around. I figured it was better than allowing him to eat doggie treats.

I also did not have Alexis pee in the parking lot of a park because she could barely walk she had to pee so bad and I had no idea where the bathroom was. Oh well, no one actually saw her except for our friends that we were at the park with.

I did not change the whole "5 second rule" to a "10 second rule" while at the park because Alexis dropped her quesadilla on the ground and I had no other food to give her.

We did not go to lunch at Chick-fil-A on Saturday for the sole reason that we did not have ANY food in our house and we did not feel like grocery shopping. But, man, Chick-fil-A NEVER gets old. Seriously, I could eat it every day.

I am so not the worst mom ever because I lost Alexis's new Cabbage Patch Kid. We went to Chick-fil-A last week (see, never gets old!) and when we left I left it on the chair. Of course, when I went back to get it, it was gone. And I was SO not suckered into buying her a new one because I felt SO bad about it.

Ben's First "Not Me":
Ben did not try to hide his foul language since I was holding Max by saying a bad word in Spanish (word meaning female dog), only to have Max repeat the word in Spanish. We most certainly did not laugh our heads off either. If that was not bad enough, Ben did NOT say it again just to hear Max say it AGAIN. And, no, Ben was not referring to me when using the word!!!!!

Not My Child Monday!!!!

This week, join me as we say, "Not my child!" and share the horrendous, embarrassing or regrettable things that there is no way our precious children were caught doing! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else's children have NOT been doing this week.

Max has not decided that his simple bedtime routine of "drop me in the crib and walk out the door" wasn't working for him anymore. He has not somehow convinced us to spend a little longer by grabbing onto our necks and clawing our shoulders. (Come on, buddy, you have to be simpler than the 30 minute routine Alexis has created!).

Alexis did not poop in her bathing suit while at the pool the other night! After showering off in the bathroom and leaving said bathroom buck naked, she certainly did not want to get back in the pool, naked. (FYI, we were the only people at the pool, thank goodness!!!!). And, no, she did not get back in (for real).

Since I forgot to take Alexis to dance class last week (see an earlier post), I kindly reminded her this morning to remind me that dance was this afternoon. So when I picked her up from school, Alexis did not ask, "mommy, did you bring your brain today so you can take me to dance?".

Max did not pee on the bathroom floor right as he was getting in the bathtub the other day. He would definitely know better than that!!!

Alexis did not somehow convince me while at Chick-Fil-A with a friend to allow her and her friend to go into the play area without the moms. And then she did not fall off the playground and proceed to cry and have some random man bring her out asking who her mother was. I was so NOT that mom that I talk about ALL the time wondering where a kid's parent is. Lesson learned.......

Not Me Monday!!!!!!

Yay, it's Monday again to fess up to all those crazy things I did (or didn't) do. You can head over to MckMama's to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week. Hmmm....I'm having trouble thinking of all those things I didn't do this week, but I'm sure I'll think of some.

I definitely did not NOT tell the lifeguard when Alexis had a little accident (don't worry, only pee) at the pool near the steps even though I was unsure if she actually got any pee in the pool or just on the deck. I mean, come on, don't tons of kids pee in the pool and not tell.

While at the same said pool, I did not ALMOST lie to the life guard. Apparently, the new rule at our pool is that babies who wear diapers have to have on 3 layers (bathing suit, swim diaper, AND rubber pants). So when he asked if Max had on his 3 layers, I was so not tempted to lie and say "yes". My conscience got the better of me and Ben went home to retrieve a very small pair of rubber pants that we had from when Alexis was about 6 months old. Good thing Max is small!

I did not enter the GAP today to see if this one little dress was on sale for Alexis for the holidays. Because I mean I really have NOT been going in there sporadically every week for the last 6 weeks waiting for it to go on sale. And today....drumroll, please.....it was finally ON SALE. But I definitely did NOT leave there with three dress, one skirt, one pair of pants, one sweatshirt, and one hat for the kids (FYI, Gap had all their sale items for an extra 40% off, and I had a $10 coupon). So, not sooooo bad, right?

Not Me Monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week. Since I missed a couple weeks of Not Me Monday!, I guess this is three weeks worth of things I didn't do.

I did not let Max miss his nap two days in a row just to go to the water park and to story time. I mean at least if I let him miss a nap it's for a good reason.

I did not skip Max's bath just this morning because I thought he was having a good hair day without a bath.

I surely would not have skimped on cleaning the house because no one has been coming by to look anyway only to have someone call me while I was out saying they'd be by in 30 minutes. (Oops! I guess I learned my lesson!).

I did not put Max to sleep in a onesie for three nights simply because he had no clean pajamas. (At least, I didn't just take dirty ones out of the hamper!). And I definitely would not still have not done the laundry (we have plenty more onesies)!

I did not let Max pass out without trying to stop him while on the airplane to spare everyone's sanity. I think about 150 people were glad I did "not" do that. I mean, if he's going to hold his breath and pass out because he's mad, there isn't a whole lot I can do about it anyway.

I did not switch Alexis's dance class time because it was miserable for me to have Max there with me during his nap time and miserable for me afterward because Alexis didn't get her nap on time. Who likes kids without naps anyway? Not me!

Not My Child Monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday!, but if you notice the logo this week, it is a little different. That's right! This week, join me as we say, "Not my child!" and share the horrendous, embarassing or regrettable things that there is no way our precious children were caught doing! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else's children have NOT been doing this week.

Little Maxwell did not gain two pounds since his 12 month check-up to now weigh over 19 pounds. What a little chunk...or not!

Alexis was not playing with a bubble blower and pretending it was a hair dryer only to get the bubble blower caught in her hair which got wrapped up around the little fan requiring her hair to be cut out of it. And she is certainly smart enough not to do it TWICE.

Max most definitely doesn't hold his breath and pass out every time he gets mad or gets hurt. So this week as he's trying to walk and explore more, he did NOT pass out when he smashed his sweet little face on the wallunit or close his fingers in a drawer. I wish I could say that he does NOT pass out at least once or twice a day, but that would actually really be a lie.

Alexis surely did not stay up well past her bedtime two nights in a row which totally did NOT make her a complete and utter disaster on Saturday requiring her to nap at 12:20pm.

Max does not scream "HI" at the top of his lungs in any store or restaurant because he thinks that anyone who passes by should absolutely say hello to him or acknowledge him in some way. The echo in Target is really good by the way!

Alexis completely did NOT throw the biggest fit ever when I got out of the car on Saturday at the airport to leave for the weekend for the first time ever! It was totally not embarrassing either. And I definitely didn't want to cry either.

Alexis did not fall down the basement stairs and get a rug burn under her nose that looks like a red snot glob. Who was supposed to be watching her anyway?

It is amusing to me that the kids "not me" lists are longer than mine!!!!

Not Me Monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week. Here goes my week....

I definitely did not hear my three year old daughter scream "DAMN" after she stubbed her toe and laugh hysterically (not in front of her....and her daddy got to scold her!).

I also didn't cry when my brother had his new baby boy on Saturday night (who is this sappy lady?).

And when someone called to say they were coming by to look at our house, I did not do a little happy dance and pray for them to buy it.

I did not let Alexis walk around outside in the driveway without shoes on during our garage sale and think to myself "it's okay, we're going to the pool later".

I did not stay up until after midnight making new hairbows for my online store because I couldn't sleep. And it is therapeutic!

Glad you could stay tuned for all the things that did NOT happen to me this week. Hope everyone has a super fabulous week.

Not Me Monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week. This is my first attempt at a "not me" Monday post. So here goes....

First, let me say that I am NOT up at 2am writing this post. Therefore, the date on this post is NOT going to be Tuesday instead of Monday.

I did NOT take the kids to see fireworks on July 3rd and keep them up until 10:30pm.

And I definitely did NOT forget my running shoes at home when we were going to spend the night at my mom's house because we were running the Peachtree the next morning.

So, as a result, after those fireworks that we didn't see, at 10:00pm, we did NOT have to drive back to our house to get those running shoes.

I surely did NOT drive Alexis to camp this morning and forget her camp bag at home only to be halfway to camp and have to turn back around to get it. This did NOT make us 10 minutes late to camp. And, I do NOT hate being late to anything.

I also did NOT sit around work today waiting for my 12:15 client to show up, and then did NOT realize at 12:10 that she called Friday to cancel.
